Outlook Express

A friend has OE and posts JPG pics to friends etc, he loads them as file attachments but when they are received the pictures are in the body of the email and are unusable as the recipient has to scroll sideways and downwards because they are so large. The attachments are shown in the attachments window but how can he stop them being in the body of the email.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird and I don't have this problem I just click on the attachment and it loads in Windows picture and fax viewer. I'm not too good on OE. Is there a setting I should change?

In outlook express does he click on the little paper clip to add attachments? or does he add them another way?

 

Would zipping the files help?

Hi Mada, believe me if you knew my friend you wouldn't even dream of suggesting that solution!

 

Oooh see thats his problem!! hes inserting the file attachment into his email.. thats why they show up in the body not as an attachment.

When sending an email with pictures that he wants to add as attachments, he needs to click on the little paper clip when clicking on the paper clip it will bring up file box of (could be anything.. my documents, my computer..etc)
find where your pics are saved and click on them. it will show up at the bottom to the screen as paperclip-(whatever the file name is)

this should work!
