    For outlook EXPRESS, is there a way to disable the prompt "are you sure you want to delete this message" in the deleted items folder?

    Under options. BTW, who still uses OE, switch to Mozilla Thunderbird or even Zimbra Desktop email agent.

    You can't disable that prompt but under Tools > Options > Maintenance there is an option to empty the Deleted Items folder on exit. So set that option and leave it to the system to delete them.
