Hi Woodworker. How do you open Outlook Express? Presumably from a shortcut on your desktop or in the Start Menu, is that right? OK, Have you checked the link address to make sure it actually points to the EXE file for OE?

Try setting up a shortcut on your desktop and have it open OE. That should work without problem. If it does, and I am pretty sure it will, then it would appear that the path associated with the shortcut you are using is wrong.

The hour glass goes as it is looking for the file in the path you have got in the shortcut. If that is wrong then you will not open the file

Give it a try and let me know how it works out for you

    Cheers

Hi Woodworker. Thanks for the message your problem is baffling. To check the path for a shortcut, right click the shortcut and select Properties. Within Properties look at the line labelled Target, it should read something like:

    "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE"

If it doesn't I suggest you setup a new shortcut and make sure you select the correct file for the path.

Give that a try and let me know how you get on. I will see what else I can think of in the mean time

    Good Luck

    To CUBBIEDUKE
I was finnally able to get OE back, I did call my internet provider after talking to the right person. He suggested to change my password, I don't know what that had to do with it , but it worked. Before all my problems started I did try to uninstall NORTON , now I've been told that there is a wrong way and a right way to do that , I did get rid of all my NORTON files and now run AVG and it's finding viruses that NORTON did not pick up.
So for now I'm once again a happy computor operator (wondering how long that will last).????
