As we have migrated through a couple of PDA's, we have backed them up to Outlook. This has resulted in three sets of "personal folders". As my wife was trying to access one of the folders, it disapeared, along with the enclosed emails. Can we combine these "extra" personal folders by simply 'drag and drop'?
None of this seems to be covered in the books that we have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA

First off, it depends on your version of outlook. If you are using Outlook express you will be seeing very limited options as opposed to something like outlook 2003.

As for your folders, when you drag and drop them in outlook, the general rule of thumb for what it does is it lists it as a sub folder of the folder you dropped it in.

If you want to move certain messages to a different folder, (someone correct me if there is an easier way) but I know there is one easy method of going into the folder where you want the messages moved from, highlighting them all and right clicking on them, then chosing the option to "move to folder" and this will move those selected messages into that folder.

Now if you have a large amount of messages, I would suggest doing a small amount first and see how those go.

naux - The method you suggested is acceptable and will work fine.

One word of caution however, Outlook 2000 and below has a PST limit size of 1 GB. If your PST file gets to that size, you will have no warning until its too late (file corruption).
