    Hello!

I had a look around for any similar problems on the net which is how found out about this site.
I have an ununique problem that unfortunately didn't fix by any of the prescribed techniques.

The problem is that OUTLOOK will open repeatedly, opening up easily a hundred times or more if not stopped.

We are running Windows 7 on 32bit and using Avast AV, and have had the problem aprox 1.5-2 days.

    Details:

I followed all the steps outlined in the guidelines I found on this website. I have attached the log files.

-The problem seems to occur regularily as if on a timer, every 10 minutes or so when the computer is sitting untouched.
-It also seems to occur nearly instantaneously if anything at all is typed in a type box, either in our firefox browser, google search, or start menu search box etc. - though in the beginning (first 12-18hrs) the problem was not as quick to start up (while typing), and we were able to use the net with minor annoyance.

-It occurs wether connected to the net or not.

-To my knowledge, nothing was downloaded, though we have been using gmail, hotmail and facebook regualirly, so I presume there may have been an opportunity for infection while opening emails?

-The only way I have found to stop it when it starts is to close the freshest open window. ie, if there are 21 OUTLOOK windows open, and I hover where the 'X' will be for the 22nd, I can close the 22nd when it opens and stop the chain reaction.

    ------

I am able to work from another computer which is not infected that is connected to the same internet connection. I used a usb stick to DL the files and pass them over to the infected computer in the correct drive, and the reverse to obtain and send the logs and this email.

Thank you for all the information you have already provided, and for any further assistance you may be able to give! Very much apperciated after all the frustration! :)

Please run CCleaner and clean out your temp folders.

I am not finding any malware in your logs. I suggest you post in the software forum for further assistance.

Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. You can uninstall RogueKiller and HitManPro.
    2. Go back to step 4 of the READ ME and renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If running Vista or Win 7, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    6. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders
related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link

Malware removal from a National Chain = $149
Malware removal from MajorGeeks = $0

Thank you very much, I appreciate the time you took to do that for me.
I will do as you said.
