    Hi,

Has anyone ever had the problem of Outlook Express replicating every email over and over again? And, everytime I open up the mail to check it the receiving area says 1 of 1 messages are coming through; then 1 of 2; then 1 of 3; I'm up to 1 of 8 now! Should I install some kind of virus ware? I'm kind of a digitard... obviously. Thank you!

I think some anti-virus software would be a very good idea.

You can get AVG Free Edition here - 20.4mb

I would also recommend an online virus scan at Symnatech (I dont entirely trust that AVG Definitions are up to date.)

A program like Ad-Aware (Which is free) would also be a good idea.

Good advice for you from Flushed ( btw welcome Flushed ) for you Leah, definatly run the online scan and install not just AntiVirus but the Adware/Malware protection and scanners ( another good one to install is SpywareBlaster it doesnt remove spyware but helps eliminate them installing in the first place ) , other things to do are....

What is your Windows version and are you fully upto date with updates?

Whats the content of these emails are they SPAM?

  5. I had the same problem with verizon yahoo! mail. I think the welcome email kept duplicateing and like within a day i would open the email thing (doing this from the browser too) i would have like 30 copies of the email and then i cleaned cookies thinking it had something to do with that and no hlep. Kept deleting the emails and then all of a sudden it stopped and hasnt happend scince. Weird stuff. I think it was somethin on the server. Probably the same with you. If you just deal with it for a while or maybe contact the mail provider and ask them to clean there servers cookies or look into the situation for you im sure they can stop it. Or maybe if you do what i did which was clean cookies and wait it out.
