Outlook sending problem

I have two clients who are able to receive but can not send in outlook. Each are on XP Home and are using Verizon DSL. They have different setups and have followed them over the phone with the tech support for AOL and Verizon but each support help desk can not resolve the problem. The error I get is very similar to this:

"Please verify the email address in you account properties responded 554 5.7.1 (IPT:OA) Use port 587 to semd mail from you AOL screen Name. HTTP//postmaster.ionfo.aol.com/errors/554iptoa.html."

The only difference with one that doesn't use AOL is that the don't get the AOL part but does get the 554 5.7.1 error.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Hmmm After reading it seems to be an AOL error - that would require an update of sorts

OOpss: did not see the 2nd client does not use aol (are you sure it not installed and just not active? It does like to hide)
