Outlook Today email: can recieve but not send....

Go figure. I just recieved a used Latitude D600 (via ebay) with Microsoft's Outlook Today on it and can configure, test and recieve email but can't send any!! Under tools/options/mail setup/send and recieve, I find only one group to select and it has, when you try to edit it, only ONE folder to selct: INBOX!


Thats it, just inbox. there's no other selections or for that matter, any way I can see to add one say like fU%$35%!! OUTBOX!!!

Anyone got a clue on what I should do??

 

Just FYI Microsoft Outlook is a E-mail application and Outlook Today is a web like page of displaying information such as notes, appointments, etc;

If you got it from eBay, I must ask, did you reconfigure Outlook for your e-mail account?

If so, double check the "Outgoing Mail Server" and verify it's the correct server. If this doesn't work, default your ports on the outgoing server.

You may also need to check under More Settings "Outgoing server requires SMTP authentication".
