Outlook Wont Send .exe Attachments

I dont know why, but all of a sudden Outlook 2002 wont send .exe attachments.
It makes me zip them up first.
Pain in the tookus.
I made no security changes.
Can someone tell me how to revert back to sending .exe's without zipping them up first.
Can't RESTORE as I had to shut that down last week for an hour so have no restore point back to that last date that I could send exe's.

Open OutLook and at the top, click on Tools and then options in the drop down menu. Check under the Security tab and there should be an option of saving or opening a file that could possibly be a virus. If it is checked, uncheck it, and see if that corrects the problem.
