Outlook won't start

Hello, any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Outlook 2003 all of a sudden won't start, it is on my wifes computer and she told me that she had an error message about orphan files or threads, I did not see it so not sure what it read. It will not start in safe mode either, I have tried to repair as well as uninstall and reinstall but keep getting the same error messages that it cannot start and recommends starting in safe mode.

The first thing I would try is a checkdisk. Open a command prompt (run with administrator rights if using Vista) and type in "chkdsk c: /r" without the quotes. It will want you to restart. Make note of any errors it generates and also if there are any bad sectors when it finishes. You will have to keep an eye on it because the results screen will only stay up for a few seconds.

 

ran check disk but came up with no errors, can you recommend anything else?
