outside links not working on my site

i made a site useing a free webhost

for some reason it dosent let me link to other websites unless i make banners or buttons

i was trying to make a link section to trade with other sites is there eneyway to get around the host not leting me link?

 

What host did you use?

Are you using a graphical interface that only allows you to choose an image as the link?

Can you directly edit the html? If so, just try the following, but replace the URL with the one you want to link to:

<a href="http://www.majorgeeks.com" target=_blank>Click Here to go to majorgeeks.com</a>

-use the targe=_blank portion only if you want the link to open in a new window. If you don't want it to, simply leave that part out.

 

make sure the http:// is in front of the link, if you do www.somesite.com many times it will open like www.mysite.com/www.somesite.com
