Overclocked cpu from 2.4ghz to 3.6ghz 3dmark06 score halved?

Exactly what it says on the tin!!

My E6600 ran at 2.4ghz by default..so i changed the fsb from 266 to 400..changed the clock ratio frm 9x to 8x and set the multiplier to 2x!

mem still running at 800 800.

in system specs says e6600 2.4ghz running at 3.6ghz...shouldnt that be 3.2ghz?

3dmark score has halved from 11k (default) to 5183..now tfc (old halflife is at 100fps..) but unreal 3 was ay 20fps..what is going on? ive put voltage on automatic so it says optomized voltage!

Have you used CPUz or similar to get your actual clock speed? My guess is your actually running under 1Ghz.

 

cpuz at idle (as in now) says my cpu is running at 2.4ghz..but when i load ut3 it runs at 3.2ghz but stays at that doesnt go any higher.

 

just tried 333*9 and its exactly the same..

Maybe the voltage?

 

ok even tfc is unstable
