Dear majorgeek i am using a laptop that has windows vista premium and its an intel dual-core inside with 1.46 Ghz processor and an intel accelerator X3100 model with 128 Mb of RAM for Video Memory And 230 Mb for shared system memory. My overall RAM on the system is 2Gb of RAM which over clockers zone RAM sticks 1Gig each.I am running Hitman Contracts and i still get slight lagging but not much at all just once in a while what can i do so get the game to run completely smooth.

    2 things you can do.

    1. lower your graphics settings.

    2. what brand/type of laptop do you have? (for example, dell latitude xxxx where xxxx is the model number).

    3. with info for #2, there is a possibility that you can 'unlock' your cpu, but doing so will void your warranty. it requires taking out the cpu, placing a hair-thin wire between 2 of the pin holes, and then reseating the cpu. if you mess it up, the cpu goes kaflooey.

yes, that laptop can be overclocked with a pin-mod (shorting 2 pins on the cpu to up it's speed). However, doing so will void any warranty you have on that laptop.

over clocking a laptop VERY VERY VERY BAD idea over clocking Makes more heat and laptops run hot enoughs I bet you would end up frying something as laptops don't have the best cooling systems is the world and can not be upgraded to the point where over clocking would be usefull and stable

in this case, he'd be fine doing the pin mod. it doesn't increase the power consumption (thus, nearly 0 heat increase) and will give him 33-50% more power with 10 minutes of work. However, it WILL void the warranty.

also its more likely not the cpu but the crapy in grated GPU I don't think over clocking will help

EDIT just looked at the system req for hit man 90% sure its the gpu and not the cpu laptops are not the best for playing ANY kind of games they just don't have the GPU Mussel the GPU is non upgrade able on laptops
also disable one core for hit man with this

it may help but I DON'T think over clocking will hlep at all

just a shot in the dark, but most laptops have different power settings and cpu output for each. maybe check to see in your power manager if you can up the performance for the laptop while it's plugged in. my ati graphics software also has some power settings to tweak for a laptop, the defaults were not set at 100% for plugged-in state, but i have changed them..maybe intel has similar graphics settings to check out?
