OVERclocking an OLD graphic card...

I need help over clocking this old graphic card of mine... erm... literally very old...namely Cirrus Logic Laguna 5465 4MB graphic card. Okay the thing is, I need it to run MapleStory a 2D game that somehow needs a 3D accelerator to run. Its a multiplayer online game http://www.maplesea.com Each time I run the program it says "Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2d"

So, the problem lies in my graphic card not having 3d graphics acceleration. I would like to overclock it so that I can at least play the game... I currently have Power Strip but dunno how to overclock my graphic card. I would appreciate it if any of you can help. Thanks!

 

Yupz! already ran the setup.exe and it set the monitor frequency to the correct value. However I think the problem lies with my graphic card... being old it dosen't have 3d accelerator. I can't buy even a 1 dollar graphic card with 3d accelerator as my dad will see me fixing a new graphic card into the computer and suspect me of playing games... T_T If only I can trick the program or the computer to believe I got 3d accelerator on the card or something...

 

hmm... I have another computer that is able to run maplestory, I wonder if I am able to remotely connect to it and run maplestory using the graphic card of that computer.

 

Does your dad ever leave the house? Does he have a surveillance system set up with 4 cameras directly on your PC?

I remember the days when my dad set up infrared wires all over the video chip inside my old 286. Everytime I tried changing the card, I'd trip the alarm and a spring activated boxing glove would pop out of nowhere and sock me real good.

 

Is there any where other then changing the graphic can cure the proper screen mode Gr2D pls tell mi how
