Overclocking causes SOUND issues

Overclocked my P4 3.06 800FSB to 3.2Ghz,system is solid Benchmarks Scores are great.Only issue is my sound goes out in games..I have an onboard audio setup with the latest drivers..Any suggestions? I know AC97(Realtek) on board audio sux.But i dont need a really good sound card,BUT if thats what it takes then its what i'll do..Any inout would be great..Thanks

Look in the bios and see if thare is a PCI lock ( assuming its the PCI bus thats causing the problem ) and if thare is enable it.....If thare isent any sort or PCI lock youl most likely need to get a better sound card.... On my DFI infinity the onboard sound died if the CPU was running above 2.5Ghz even with the PCI lock on......

 

Hmm PCI Lock,dont see it in there only PCI option i see that is disabled is the PCI IDE BusMaster,i enabled it,and i still have No sound when clocked higher than 3.15Ghz

 

Thats not the PCI lock ( thow bus master should be enabled ) .....under Frequancy / voltage control.... Adjust AGP / PCI clock...... what settings are thare ??? PCI Frequancy shouldent be over ~35Mhz..... ( 33Mhz stock )

 

figured out what u were talking about..I had to put the Beer to the side and think..I had to set the PCI/AGP settings to 66.67/33.33..all is good now,and im actually able to clock my 3ghz to 3.6 with ease..thanks man...
