Overclocking failling?

In advance, thanks for all your help! I have been helping this lady with her computer and after upgrading to a new HHD, sound card, CD-Burner... She's facing another problem: computer re-start for no aparent reason and lately gives her the pop-up saying that Overclocking fails, please go to setup... What should be my next step? I want to be sure of this and I know that this have to be something with the "factor"? and that has to be checked in the back of the chip... And fixed through Bios. All ideas and sugestions will be welcome guys! And again, Thanks.

Yes, she's running WINXpPro corporate Edition. No, I do not know MOBO specifications (I guess I Am going to load Everest!). No, I did not reset or remove the battery, but I will.
Yes, that pop-up appears when the computer is booting and disapears so fast.

The computer was running with 2 HHD (one of them with WinMe and in process of moving data). I uninstall physically the sound card (for some reason they had ON-Board sound enabled), the CD-Burner and the HHD with Me, run Ad-Aware, Spybot and Stinger, scan disk and could not end Defragment.
I Am going back to her and grab some more information! And see your next set of recomendations.
