The motherboard manufacturer and model and the speed of the processor would be helpful.

Not to be a smarta$$ but consider this:

I walk into a Import Car performance shop and tell them I want to tweak my honda civic.

It's not enough info for them to suggest specific upgrades for my car, because they don't know the year, model number, type of engine or transmission I have.

If you haven't stopped reading my post yet I'll try to help you out with this, I just need some more specific info

if you want you can email me ajupin at gmail.com

Does the motherboard have a jumper setup on it? I believe all socket 7 motherboards where jumpered for the clock speed, so you need to know what speed each jumper controls on the motherboard. So start doing some digging on the model and see if they show you anything on the motherboard. Some motherboard did have a little grid on the motherboard near the jumpers that would also tell you what each one did so do you see anything on the motherboard like that?

I believe at max all you can get is 250mhz on P1's maybe 266 if your lucky, All i could get out of my ol P1 166mmx is 250mhz because of the jumper setup.

I was researching Packard Bell motherboards and I think the only way it can be overclock is if you adjust the clock multiplier. From what I read the bus speed is already maxed out with the CPU you have.
