Overclocking Phenom 9750

Basically I want to overclock my new 9750 Phenom as it has (suprise, suprise) less than expected performance. So far I have managed to increase the FSB from 200 to 400, taking me from 2.4GHZ to 4.4GHz but the system would not boot, thenI tried an FSB of 300 and got 3.4GHz but again the system did not boot. I have worked out that the multiplyer must be X12, so I then tried an FSB of 250 to get 3.0GHz but the system would not boot. I thought that turning the mutiplyer down to X10 and the FSB to 300 would work but it didn't. My last thought was CPU voltage, turn it up a little to get the system to boot , but the BIOS settings are auto, then all the differant voltage settings the problem is that I don't know what it is as standard. If you guys could help me out with that maybe I would have more success, I am aiming for 3.0GHz an increase of 0.6GHz is that possible with my rig? And is there anything else I need to do aside from the FSB, Multiplyer and Voltage?

I have collected some more information from my BIOS, basically all the options I have regarding overclocking:

The voltage CPU options I have are:

0.8000V - 0.9000V
0.8125V - 0.9125V
0.8250V - 0.9250V
0.8375V - 0.9375V
0.8500V - 0.9500V
0.8625V - 0.9625V
0.8750V - 0.9975V
0.8875V

I don't know what it should be at as standard, so how exactly can I increase the voltage to get more out of my CPU? And again is there anything I have missed out, FSB, Multiplyer & Voltage.

Seems like lots of folk are having trouble with this. Just google 'overclock 9750' if you already haven't. I remember the first Phenom that came out 9350(?) wouldn't go past 2.4GHz because of issues with the chip itself. One reason that I went with Intel this time. I hope someone here can help you.

I am just gonna give up, I cannot find any help on the voltage issue

It supports everything I want :-D (Crossfire), it's also only 116.73GBP

While I remember can anyone help me out, since I re-installed XP my keyboard doesn't have the right stift +... combo's such as the pound sighn is this # and the hash is this |. Any idea's?

You probably inputed the wrong language when you reinstalled. Your examples are exactly like the US keyboard.

 

I'm sure I set it to English UK, how do I change it then I cannot remember such things anymore :confused
