    hello,

Overclocking is the process of making various components of your computer run at faster speeds than they do when you first buy them. For instance, if you buy a Pentium 4 3.2GHz processor, and you want it to run faster, you could overclock the processor to make it run at 3.6GHz., it can be done with video cards and RAM too, read ace's OCing guide at the top of the forum..

I like my quote, OCing in general has a bad rap...( OMG !! hes overclocking GASP !!! and the like ) Overclocking is considerd a vary risky thing to most people in fact its vary far from that ( when done right )....

I have my gpu OCed, i haven't tried it on my cpu yet, I am kinda worried i will fry my cheap RAM, and i only have a 300w psu on top of that.
Im also have a question for you, what is AUX in everest? I am thinking cpu but it runs pretty hot while the "cpu" reading is in the low 30sC

Thare are normaly 2 CPU temp sensors on on die and one under the CPU socket on the mobo. Tho its hard to tell what is what.. I normaly go buy the hotter one to be safe... And another thing if you dont over volt you wont kill any thing, the odds of something diying will running stock are about the same as the odd of it diying whenl overclocked.. ( when your not overvolting ) Just run stock voltage and youl be fine....thow w/o overvolting your overclock will most likly be small.....

Sorry were ignoring you bcm did you get your question(s) answerd ?

that kinda bothers me, I thought I had good temps, i have seen AUX get up to 50C+ under load, and I thought I was getting temps in the 30s my aux idles at 46C

Then again the mobo temp sensors arn't known for thar accuracy ;).... if the dif from one to the other is that big you prolly have a bad reading on the mobos sensor...
