    Hey there

I have a problem: I just today installed a new CPU sink. Temps running great @ 38C load.

Used OCZ freeze compound. My question is regarding another smaller sink i had to remove to install the CPU sink (tight fit). I think it was for the onboard GPU. When I removed it, i wasn't thinking about the compound that would already be on it so I had to clean, purify, and replace it with a dot of OCZ.

I'm guessing I put a bit too much on because now my "GPU" under speedfan is skyrocketing from 50-56c and up to 65c under load. Right now, as I'm typing this, it's idling @ 39 (only because I have my case door off and got a FAN blowing on it.. "2" setting =D )

Could putting to much compound on the chip, and therefore seeping over onto the actual circuitry/board, have caused this?

I'm stupid for forgetting but i did; i cant remember how much I put on. Should I reapply some compound?

and btw: I'm not even using the onboard GPU. I have a 9600gt.

what to do? please help! thanks
