Overriding sharing restrictions on files? Need help

I just got a new PC because Windows became fubar (long story) on my old PC. So I put in my old hard drive as a slave so I can get all my data off it. The only problem is I can't access my old 'My Documents' file because on my old PC I had "Made this folder private" (Like you can with any folder Properties -> Sharing). So now I'm trying to recover this data but My Documents is denied. Any way to get in there?
