P180 or P182?

I want to build a new PC and i really want a antec p18? case

My problem is i want it black not gun metal black.
The p182 does not come in a true black.
Yet it has the steel plastic aluminum walls that are supposedly quieter than the aluminum plastic aluminum walls of the p180.

As far as the functional differences from the 180 to the 182 they are not drastic and could be achieved with minor mods.

I want to know if the 182 wall construction is worth the extra time to repaint it black.

I also want to paint the interior and add a Detailed window, something with sharp corner cuts and many small cuts, Kind of like the Lian li celestial panel.
I would like to here from people that have cut in to this case. Was it like a regular case cut? Can you see the layers? Is it posible to get smooth cuts? What tools did you use? Anything else you think may apply.

 

Actually the P180 and P182 doors are all made out of the same material (steel, plastic, steel).
