I'm looking for a good software that does not require much work in order to get it to work. What I need the program to do is allow a user to connect to a specific folder on my computer and download the files they need. I am using this to transfer video files from my office to one of my partners offices. The offices are states apart, so putting the files to disk and mailing them isn't an option.

The problem I have been finding is that not a lot of programs just offer the ability to share only with specific people on your list of accepted contacts.

I've tried FTP, but the person I'm connecting to doesn't have much experience with FTP and my new Netgear WGR614 Router needs a ton of configuration in order to do FTP. I haven't been able to figure it out in order to even get it to work.

We are both running Windows XP Home and are using DSL connections.

The program I'm looking for should be cheap or even FREE, especially if I plan to get other people involved with sharing these video files for work. They shouldn't have any spyware or adware nasty junk built into them.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Sorry to sound so specific with my request, but I just want you all to know what I'm exactly looking for!

Would both parties have to have a monthly account in order to use that product?
