i aws thinking onc ei get my Desktop up and running again how should i OC it. should in increase the FSB and keep multiplier the same or lower multiplier and increase FSB more making a bigger overall Bus speed or what? would a faster bus speed be worth it. I have 533mhz DDR2 ram.

would it be better to have 218MHz x16 multiplyer with a total of 872 Mhz FSB or
    250MHz x14 with a total FSB of 1ghz

    both overclock's will be around 3.5ghz a 300MHz increase

Id go for both ;).....raise the FSB will lowering the X the idea is to keep the core speed stock and ONLY up the FSB to find your max bus speed that way you know if the system is unstable its the mem or bus not the CPU core... then when youv found your max FSB then put the FSB at stock and up the X to find your max core....( that way you know any instibility has to be the core ) when you have found the max of both do the math..... lets say you found your max FSB was 1000 and your max core was 3.6 ..divide 1000 / 4( quad pumped bus ) = 250 250 x ( your maltiplyer ) = change your maltiplyer to make this 3600 ( 3.6 ) .......this way you get the best of both worlds..;)......and can find out exactly ware your weakneses are and whare your strengths are...{edit} ok i whent a bit overboard :p bus is better.......
