    I want to buy this board, P5WDH (on order, but I can cancel);

    http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?modelmenu=1&model=1198&l1=3&l2=11&l3=0

    These later mobo's imply that their chipset is better suited for either ATI or nVIDIA in dual card mode does that also mean that these mobo's are more suited for these cards in single mode?

    What I'm asking is although this is a "Crossfire" mobo can I run a single nVIDIA card in it?

    The reason I ask is for some reason suppliers in Australia seem to offer at least 2 nVIDIA options for every ATI card (make, model, etc). In otherwords ATI is limited in stock and can be very hard to get (decent card at decent prices) but nVIDIA because there are so many (makes and models) it seems easier to get these at reasonable prices.

    hey dude, hows it goin'

    Im almost positive that you can run any card on any chipset (nforce, atiexpress) but i think the dual cards need to be on a matching chipset. Actually, there are intel chipsets that are SLI and i think one more but last time i read about that it was before Crossfire was a viable option. Im not sure on the dual card part but im like 99.99 percent sure u can use an Nvidia card on a crossfire mobo. Gl with ur new build :cool:
