Page can not be displayed

I just searched but could not find threads concerning this. I think I saw it here a while back. What was the general consensus. Was it a computer problem or the isp. Thanks

if not, what is the error?

What is the OS?

What kind of internet access?

Who is the provider?


When did it last work?

(Try System Restore)


Any firewalls on the machine?

Ad Aware?

Spybot?

When is the last time the above 2 apps have been run, if ever?

If a LAN connection, does it work in Safe Mode w/ Networking?

 

Thanks for the replys. Been unable to do anything for a while. Couldn't do anything or go anywhere awhile ago all i would get was page cannot be displayed. Probably timing out. But all seems well now speed back to 50.6. Which seems to be the best speed. I think it is my isp. 0ne time about 2 hours ago I got on at 2.1 speed never saw that one before usually it is 50.6. or higher and never below 49.2. Realy doesn't matter anyway since my dsl is being activated tommorow.

Installed Zonealarm pro a few days ago. all settings default or low level. But it's still driving me nuts ALERT ALERT ALERT. Questions about this later.
