page error on Facebook

I am running windows XP Professional on my Dell desk computer. In the recent week or two I have been unable to fully log on to Facebook. I get logged on but with a blank page which has and error triangle in the bottom left of the page. Clicking on it says the error is: 'bigPipe' is null or not an object.

I have searched a bit without success. This error does not occur on my other computers.

What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser? When you say you "searched a bit without success", what did you try? The most common fix for this involves uninstalling Google Chrome Frame; do you use that browser?

Thank you. I did uninstall Google chrome frame and Facebook is working now! I installed it because I was having problems with IE8 and had to uninstall it. Unfortunately IE7 is not adequate for some applications and Google chrome frame was a solution. I am going to retry IE8 and if I have problems again, I will start a new thread.
