Page will not refresh unless I move mouse. Please help.

Just started today, but when I am on the internet my computer will not show my latest action until I move the mouse. For example, if I type something it will not show what I typed until I scroll the mouse down a little bit. Internet, has also been pretty slow on my computer today. Any suggestions?

I am running a vostro 3700 laptop with Windows 7. My browser is google chrome.

 

Did you reboot the machine?

 

Yes, I have had to reboot the machine several times today. I also did a virus scan but it came back okay.

 

Is it a mouse or the touchpad? If you have a touchpad disconnect the mouse and see if the touchpad reacts the same way.

Probably need to try to discern if this is a Windows, hardware or browser problem. Try another browser (IE or Firefox) to see if your symptoms change and/or boot Windows into Safe Mode w/Networking to check for a symptoms change.

 

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. It seems to have worked itself out and has not been an issue today.
