    XP Pro, 2 x 80 GB HDD's @ about 1/2 capacity - 5400 rpms each

I've always heard that is best for performance to have your page file on a seperate hard drive.

What is the best procedure? Just cut and paste it to the root of my second HD? When I try to do that, Windows won't let me and says there is a sharing violation.

Also, are there any other considerations that may affect performance when doing this, e.g; speed of drives(rpm)?

    Thanks,

    Steve

right click on my computer select properties, select advanced, under performance go settings, then click advanced, under virtual memory, click change:
then highlight the drive that currently has the paging file, select no paging file, then set, then select your second hardrive, then select custom size type in matching sizes (best for performance), click set, apply, then ok,then reboot, that's it :)
