    Is it alright to delete this file if it hasn't been written to for several days? (It's taking over half a gig)

    Its the paging file (virtual memory).
    To change its location or its size rightclick my computer>properties>advanced>performence>settings>advanced>virtualmemory>change.

    You can not Del it, it make your computer system run faster in performance. you do not use it anymore when you get more 2g on your computer system.
