Pages will not load (crying hear)

I cannot get web pages to load after a clean install of XP, simple I know but maddening.

First of all modem/hardware/connection all fine im using them to post this on a different laptop.
Checked cookies and security and all settings are XP default, ping tested it all packets returned.
Turned off pop up function

After connecting with ADSL server I get the yellow bubble box saying I have a 1Mg connection know connected

Tested different pages like I say all the obvious stuff to my mind anyway.

I’m going insane please help when the pages load just before the ‘done’ message comes up this appears at the bottom.

go to
START->RUN type
CMD and hit enter

at the prompt type

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the window and choose "select all" from the menu. Then hit the enter key. That will put a copy of that information on the clipboard.

Now start a reply and put your cursor in the text box and hit CTRL + V to paste the contents of the clipboard into the reply box.

Hit reply.

Turned to be a programme pre-installed called Active Surf just had to turn it off.
