Pand Antivirus Platinum

Inadvertently, I "cleaned" some temp files and Platinum no longer operates. Tried to reload version 8.0 but cannot "uninstall previous version".

The following message appears when I go into "Control panel" > Add/remove:

"Error extracting support files.

The system cannot find the file specified"

I,m stumped. How might I re-install Platinum protection please. The sooner the better to avoid having to use a competitors product.

Any suggestions reall appreciated please.

I had that problem once and re-installed over top of my existing panda. Give it a try and maybe it might work. Other than that, try their tech support.

 

Appreciate your reply and have sent a mail through to Panda tech, still waiting! When I go to install any Panda when another version has been in use, it will only let me do it if I uninstall the old version first. Did you find any way around this?
