Panda and other Firewall problems.

I have a PIV laptop and have been using Panda titanium for months with no problems. After an automatic update I was never able to use my internet connnection. I tried rebooting reinstaling Panda but still no connection was possible. I tried other firewalls but they will either not work or crash the system. Zonelabs free firewall gets installed but I cant access it, Windows "tells" me he cant find the path. The only firewalls working are the windows built-in (wich I dont trust or the new Zonelabs Firewall +antivirus and spyware Demo. Does anyone have any idea what could be happenning? I contacted Panda but still havent received any reply. I feels like Windows Xp is trying to limit my choices...I ran Adware and Spybot and no threats were found. Thanks for any help.

if you are using dial up or a browser using scripts the update kb911280 is apparently the cause...it happened to me last week and l have to reformat
and reinstalled everything again...microsoft has just reissued a new version of that update so hopefully this one will actually work

 

Thanks morpheus, I am still waiting for panda´s reply to see if there is some way of not having to reinstall everything from 0.

 

hi mario you can try uninstall that update then reboot and see if that works if that don't work, there might be other causes. my personal experience with panda is not a happy one...sometimes l think they just wants your money. l deleted panda long ago yet they still send me e mails about their products but if you need help not a word...AVG for me from now on...good luck
