I went to the driver upodate site and could not find an updated driver. I tried to roll back the driver but there is no earlier one. Any other thoughts?

Try looking in BIOS setup at boot up.

Windows may have dropped the link that associates the Hotsync port (usb?) with the LPT3: device. This can be re-enabled via the command line, but if you un-install and re-install the Treo's Hotsync program, it should re-enable all the links.:)
