    Hi guys,
I have an OLD laptop that dosn't have a usb port. Is there such a thing as a serial-to-usb or parallel-to-usb etc converter that I can use? Or would the laptop need to have USB hardware internally?
    Cheers

    Thanks for the reply.
I looked on ebay but all I seem to be able to find are USB-to-Serial converters (RS232) or USB-to-Parallel. They wouldn't work because the male/female connections would be revesed. Could someone tell me the code for either a serial-to-usb or parallel-to-usb converter that would have female usb and male serial/parallel ports please. They seem to be much less common.
    Cheers
