parental control

    can you tell me how I can get pass parental control without asking for permission? it`s outrageous! we have win vista now, and I cannot even read my mail without asking for permission. is there any way to get pass this error: "parental control has blocked this program..." ? I don`t want to do anything nasty, I just wanna read my mail in peace.

    I have to ask, who setup the Parental Permissions, was it your parents? ( if your of that age ) if so you will have to abide by there rules as I/we will not assist in circumventing their rules for you, which is why if its to read mail then I guess you will have to talk to them in allowing you past this block.

    As to disable the permissions in Vista you will have to have Administrator access and password, to disable or change the permissions per application or websites. ( located in Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > Parental Controls > User Controls )

    I'm afraid that as suggested above the answer is to ask your system administrator to relax the rules a little because the current settings are blocking something that they shouldn't (probably...).

    thank you all but I am not a small child and the settings were initiated by my "nice" brother who just wants to give me a hard time:S it`s not like I wouldn`t know how to use the computer.
    but there isn`t any way to get pass these without asking from the administrator then?

    No you still going to need the Admin password to allow you to disable Parental Controls on your account.

    If this is a family PC, then if as your say your brother is playing games with you, you need to chat to your parents to have them speak to him and relax or remove Parental Controls from your account or upgrade your account to administrator as you cannot add parental blocks to admin accounts in Vista.

    only other way is to guess his password.


    Which Build of Win Vista are you using?

    You do know that build like all beta/RC builds will expire in on or before June07?

    I tried a few ways myself to bypass parental controls but sadly they didnt work, I did think as much as the controls would be very poor is you could bypass they easily with out admin access, so best bet is chat to parents and have them talk to your bro into allowing you more access to the PC and your emails.

    yes, I am aware that it`s going to expire in June.
    keylogging program? well, I don`t know. can you name one keylogging program then? where could I get it?

    Not the most responsible sugestion, plus as juku is not the admin on a Vista based PC, he will not likely be able to install a keylogger as UAC will popup when he tries to install as he will need admin approval and the aformentioned password as his account is under Parental Control.

    Follow the steps given, when you're done everything it will hide some of the letters. You can pay to get the password now or wait 2 days and it'll give you the pw.
    I've tried this and it has worked but i used win xp and 2000
    you can give it a shot at windows vista.
    By the way the keylogging program is 007 Spy Software tried that aswell, this one is great but only a 15 day trial and runs for only an hour, after the hour you gotta restart the program. You can get it here

    thats right, I can not download anything anyway and do you think I will go to my brother and tell him to install a keylogging program? I don`t think so:D but I guess that is it then:( I still have to find some way how my brother would make my parental control settings more tolerable. it isn`t the easyiest task you know.

    Can you have a sitdown meeting type thing with your Bro and Parents and just state your case why your email access to Windows Mail should be blocked and that maybe on this application only that controls should be relaxed to allow you full access to Email? no harm in trying.

    Wish I could help you more but parental controls in this case are not easy by design to bypass, so best option now is to state your case, I have to do similar in work with the massive security blocks we have on everything from Server access to certain websites we can visit, if I have a need for say to visit a medical website and for some reason its webpage tag is listed as shopping, I cannot view it ( websense security ), then I need to put my case to the network admin at the time to review and change my permissions, works in 99.9% of the time.

    It's completely free, but if you want the password right now you have to pay or else you can wait 2 days and it'll give you your password, make sure you typed in your correct email address so when you go on the website and click results it'll give you the password
