Parental Controls set up in Vista

Hi

I tried to set up parental controls on standard account. The problem is internet explorer in the standard account fails to open any websites. I tried by selecting maximum access still no success... even installed latest version of IE 8 still the same..Please help.... Operating system is Vista Home basic.

Hi

I would revert back to IE7 as IE8 is a beta and not fully released as yet, so can cause other issues to crop up, uninstall from Add/Remove and IE7 will be replaced.

What security software do you have installed on this PC?

When logged into the standard account with perental control on, click Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > and on the map at the top of the screen is any link broken with red X. If so try the Connect to Network option on the left.

I have Bell Sympatico Security Manager installed. I turned off its Fraud protection feature to make things work. Thanks once again for your support. Another question is how can I keep this feature ON at the same time... I will appreciate the valuable comments.

Hi

To be honest as I've never used Bell Sympatico Security Manager I wouldnt know where to start, best advice is to call BELL support and ask if they have an update, fix or workaround for this conflict, with that Fraud aspect of their security app and Parental Controls in Vista.

Did try and search their forums for an answer but nothing stood out.
