Parental Controls

Can anyone recommend a really good parental control software?? I need one that logs all use and lets me see it.

Also, how do I keep my 3 yr old from changing all the settings on my pc? He has his own user log in but I am clueless as to how to block him from messing with everything.

I'm assuming you have Windows XP. If so, you can set yourself as the administrator, and give your son "limited" access. Also, you can set a password for your log on screen. I can't really remember exactly how I did it, but I am fairly ignorant and it wasn't that difficult. It is probably in the security section of your computer - or you can always use "help & support" and search for "passwords" and "access".

Can't offer much by way of programs. There was a thread recently, but I think it was more arguementative than helpful. Try "search forums" for that topic and look in some of MG's covert ops programs.

BTW: 3 years old - What a handfull

 

Go to Control Panel, then User Accounts. You can set up all your account stuff from there, which I assume you've already done. Like the above^^ said, set your child for limited access. I haven't really messed with accounts much, as I'm the only one that uses my computer, but while at a friend's house, I could only figure out that if you wanted something to be used by ONLY YOU, it had to be in My Documents. I know that's rather a hassle, there is probably an easier way.
