Part of my task bar is missing

Windows 8.1, all my notifacations in the bottom right corner are gone, including time and date....Thank you

Do as LauraR said in post#4, but click on Turn system icons on or off. What do you see under Behaviors?

 

The area where the clock is, is called the system tray.
Look in the registry as outlined in this article

Plodr, I tried what you suggested, I could find the dword it was asking for

 

Did you delete the registry key NoTrayItemsDisplay and restart the PC?

 

Also, did you look in the 2nd location mentioned in the ghacks article?

the registy entry wasnt in there, i even searched for it....I also tried to refresh my windows, but i guess since i updated to 8.1 it wouldn't do it,..so maybe a registry problem..IDK...But i certainly thank you all for the help//
