Hi, My mom has a Satilite Pro 445 notebook, with no floppy drive, that she deleted the primary partition. I have tried to boot with windows (95b,me and 2000 cd's), no luck, says Missing Operating System after bootup, windows 2000 will boot but not install. I have an external floppy from a different notebook but it won't boot from a startup disk. I have changed the boot order to match either cd rom or floppy depending on what i would try to boot from. Can anyone offer any advice about my problem, Thanks

What OS was originally installed on the notebook?

    Advice:
Use restore disc that came with notebook.
    If that isn't possible:
Buy laptop to IDE adapter and install the OS in a tower then move it back to the notebook and search for the drivers it won't plug and pray.
Buy a partition recovery untility and pray it will boot from CD or your external floppy and recover the partition so it boots.
