Partition Magic 8 - Error #27 cannot lock drive

    Hey i have used Partition Magic 8 in the past to divide up my laptop 40GB drive into 2 partitions for windows and a 5gb for linux. I have runout of space on the windows partitions and i never really use linux so i deleated the linux partitions.

    When i tryed to add this new space to my windows partitions i get the error "Error #27 cannot lock drive".

    What can i do?




    Specifications:
    Inspiron 8500
    Windows XP SP2
    40GB harddrive
    512RAM
