If, for any reason, while partition magic was partitioning, and the power goes out, does pm do anything to correct any errors that might result from the power failure (using the rescue disks)? What would end up happening in the end?

I understand your worries about power going off in the middle of partitioning. If the power is that flaky in your area I would suggest buying a UPS anyhow. I have a laptop so AC powerouts don't affect them. Desktops are a different kettle of fish, though. Bazza
