I bought a computer about a year ago. It has a 160 GB hard drive that is partitioned. (the C drive is 13.9(with all system files) and the D drive is 129 - still not sure where the other GBs are...) Anyway, I am starting to have problems with my windows movie maker and dvd creating programs. When using my dvd creating program (Pinnacle Studio8) it is using the free space on the C drive (I only have 1 GB free) even though I have it installed on the D drive. I am also using Windows Movie Maker which is on the C drive. It is using the free space in C also. Is there a way to add more GB to my C drive from my D (has 80GB free), or a way to force everything to use the D drive??? I am not even sure if I am asking the right question here....I am at a loss.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jolene

There are programs out that will redistribute free space from d to c. The one that I use is called partionmagic and never had a trouble with it their could be some free programs on here check under drive utilities

As for the missing gigabytes- they are probably unpartitioned, and some might be used for a diagnostic partition.

Can you specify Pinnacle Studio8 to save to the D: drive, or to store temporary files to the D: drive?

Thank you...I will have to check out partition magic.

I tried to find options or preferences in Studio8 and couldn't find anything on choosing the place for storage.

    Thanks
