I've never partitioned anything before. I was looking through the software here but must admit I'm a little confused on what software I should use. (I tried a search, but it wasn't helpful).

Basically, my OS is loaded with problems and I just want to move 10-20GB of stuff to the partition, then format C, reinstall the OS etc & move my saved files back.

I understand you need to be careful or you lose everything. I just need to know what is a good free program which will do what I want without screwing everything up.

Partition masters! Please help a n00b out!

    Thanks

I thought that cost like $70.... I need a freebie.

I don't need a ton of bells & whistles, just somethign simple that won't fry my data or my brain.

@Syclla - "Google it" and then linking widely to another forum when MajorGeeks.com has more than enough applications available for download is not great tech advice, especially considering the OP has stated they are a noob and confused.

Karkas - you can download free partitioning software from here http://www.majorgeeks.com/Partition_Logic_d4780.html
