Is there a free program that will allow me to create a partition on my hard drive without reformatting it?

My hard drive is not partitioned at all. I wish to partition off about 10Gbs of space for Adobe PhotoShop to use. This works well for Adobe and frees up my system RAM for other things. I forgot to create the new partition when I reformatted.

If you are using XP you can create the new partition in Disk Management.

I have no experience of Adobe PS but I can't see how the partition structure will affect how the RAM is used.

If you want to do it without formatting you will need something like partition magic. A search will find it easy enough.

    Back up first.

Heh, why would you be more trusting when money is involved? :) Its completely unfair to say that because you don't pay for it, its not worth it. There are literally hundreds of examples where a free program does a better job than a pay-for program, and more importantly, its what the user asked for.

Partition Logic is intended to become a free alternative to such commercial programs as Partition Magic, Drive Image, and Norton Ghost.
