    Thank-you... :)
With a little bit of luck there might be something here. I've looked in a few places & it seems like no one has done a 4GB flash-drive. (more homework). :-D

Hi-ya :), sorry about the long wait.

My net-book went down a while ago & all I get is a DOS screen saying:
"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system"
You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Set-up using the original Set-up C.D-ROM - [Pha!] :(:(:(
As satrow said, I've got a 4GB stick & need to create a partition so my NB100 (12a) sees it as acceptable.
The NB it's self has Xp Home on it but I'd rather run the Pro platform on it... only thing is I've got stuff on there that I want first, before any installation's take place. :)

Hi-ya... :) I've just been to the link you left me & was wondering if you know of anyone who has tried this with a 4GB BuffaloTech stick?

Hi BF, wouldn't it cause you far less aggravation and time to just buy a 2GB flash-stick? I know it's fun to just get something to work correctly, but you may just kill the 4GB stick you have in trying to do that.

Yeah, It probably would. I just want my net-book back so I can free up this 'ol war-horse. :)
I ran Acronis last night but after partitioning & re-boot the drive is invisible in windows. I open up Acronis & it's there? (I didn't ask for an invisible partition)
    :(
Well if it's not already dead I'll give it another go shortly, but it doesn't look to promising at the mo. rolleyes
