    Hello,
I have a 350 gig hard drive and about 250 gig is free. Is there a way to partition my hard drive after my OS, Windows XP SP3 and other software is installed, without using something like Partition Magic?
If I have to use something like that, is there any software that I can use/buy to partition my hard drive? What do you guys recommend?

    Thanks,

    dabear

scroll down to where you see the heading Screenshots. That's what I use because I need pictures to see what I'm doing.

This free product for windows might be the software to use

Wait until an XP guru comes along and has some feedback on Easeus. I have seen favorable comments about Easeus but I have never tried any of the programs.

Before suggesting it to someone else on another board I tried Easeus Partition Master on a VM and it was fine. He used it and had no problems either.

Repartitioning does carry risks though, so I would not do it myself without first creating a restorable system image.

actually that link is for the pro version, there is also a free version that will work in 32-bit operating systems.

i've used it a few times in the past, and i found it real easy to use. just remember that you have to let it finish, and depending on how much data needs to be moved around (looks like you have plenty of empty space, so it should be fairly quick) it could take a long time.

Thanks for the feedback on Easeus guys. I hesitate to recommend anything I haven't tried.

    Hey guys,
Thanks a lot for the information. I greatly appreciate it, as I think my system is about to crash. This way I can get stuff to my D:> drive and reformat.

    Thanks,

    dabear
