    HI,

Can anyone tell me. I'm in the process of reinstalling/repairing my windows xp and have come to a message screen in the process where it is warning me that "i chose to install xp ona partition that contains another operating system. installling windows xp on this partition might cause th eother operating system to funtion imporoperly" then it wants me to select a diffferent partition or continue. I chose my "c" partition because that is the main drive. the "D" is where I back everything up and data isn't lost there if i have to restore my pc. I have a desk top sony viao. I'm thinking I should continue with the set up. Any thoughts?

If that is the opperating system you are trying to repair or reinstall then yes continue with it. Are you trying to repair or reinstall and do a clean setup? If you are just doing a repair, after you hit F8 to agree to microsofts rules, you will have an options to repair it. If you are doing a clean install, then just follow the steps to setup on exsisting partition and format it. You can format 2 ways, either quick or full format, your choice. I prefer the full format myself. Hope this helps.
