I have a problem encrypting passwords. My webhost only supports standard DES with the crypt function, so I can't use anything remotely secure. Is there another way I could use md5 or blowfish (preferrably blowfish) to encrypt passwords, other than the crypt function?

I found a way to use MD5, but I would still like to use blowfish. Is there any way I can?
