Password Failure

I have a Lenovo 585 running windows8. It will not recognize the password to my windows account and I cannot get in to do anything at all. I have changed the password at accountlive.com 6 times. It never works. I have another laptop and the new passwords work every time. I assume it is a software glitch and not an infection. Anyone know any work-arounds to get me in?

Thanks. I worked on this all day yesterday only to find that the system has no provisioning for booting from a disk or usb. Nice going Lenovo!
There is stuff on there that I need for business, but apparently it is is gone

Here's a lenovo page for changing boot order. Notice the *note* halfway down the page. It says some models won't show a USB boot option unless the thumbdrive is already inserted.

Yes,I tried that.Boot has only 3 choices none of whichwork. BIOS looks to be untouchable. This morning when turned on there was lots of squiggly lines onscreen. I think the HD Is dead.
